The best 3D software for Medical Animation

Start with your goal in mind

Should I move to Blender or stay with Cinema 4D? Maybe learn Houdini?

This is one of the most common questions I receive from people who want to start in Medical Animation

Which software should I use?

I believe there are no better or worse options, they are just different, and you can do everything with any software if you know the fundamentals

So, how do you decide which one is for you?

This depends on your goals.

Blender can be a good option if you want to create medical animations and illustrations for your research, personal work, or even freelance for biotech and pharmaceutical companies. It is free, and there is a large online community that can support you in your process.

But if you want to work with medical animation studios, things may change

Most studios use Cinema 4D, Houdini, Maya, or 3D Max these days

You can always change from one software to another (I moved from Maya to Cinema 4D years ago), but it will be easier if you know this is advanced.

Start with your goal in mind!

Do some research and ask the people in the studios you like about the software they are using, it will make everything smoother from the beginning.

Are you already doing freelance work or want to work for a studio? Maybe both?

Feel free to answer this email and tell me more about yourself!
