From Medical Illustration to Animation
How to start offering your services
Medical animation and illustration have many things in common
We are playing with shapes, lights and colors to create impactful scientific images
But our way of working and timelines can be very different
Clarity over your workflow is the key here
Creating a 1-2 minute animation video requires many different skills
It would take a couple of months to produce a great video by yourself
and it is not just the animation but the video editing, timing, sound design…
There are many skills to master on this journey
and it will be easier to do it step by step
If you are new to animation and want to offer your services to your clients
Start small
Design you workflow
Understand the process
Increase the challenge with time
There is nothing worse than getting trapped in an underestimated project
Measure the challenge correctly is one of our most valuable skills
Learn one thing, apply it, and “master” it before you move forward
It sounds easy to do it, but it can be confusing at the beginning of your care
That’s why I’m creating the Medical Animation Introductory Course
The Cinema4D and After Effects course I would like to have when I first started
It will be ready to launch in September and you will be the first to know about it
So stay tuned and let me know if you have any questions on the way!
Happy to read you always,
Guillermo
