Scientific Accuracy in Medical Animation
Does it really matter?
Scientific Accuracy is a controversial topic in Medical Animation
Is accuracy our primary goal? Can we break it? How to do it?
Our main goal is to help scientists communicate complex topics in an easy and understandable way
For that, we can simplify not just the message but the visuals
Should we keep accuracy then?
Well, we have some room for creativity here
Balance accuracy and simplicity with technical challenges, time, and budget of the project will be crucial for our success
Communication with the client is essential to create a solid base to start working:
Who is the target audience?
Do they have a scientific background?
What is the key message of the project?
Depending on their answers, ask yourself:
Will simplifying the message or visuals help improve the final result?
What’s the more significant technical challenge in the production?
Can I make it happen on time and budget? Is it realistic?
We tend to over-complicate things
Set clear goals for your project and simplify everything else
You can apply this to your portfolio as well, but I will talk about it in a future mail
Do you want to know how to plan a stunning medical animation portfolio?
